TVC E, SPORTS – Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh says he is sorry for his team’s exit from the ongoing African Nations Championship in Rwanda.

The home-based Super Eagles crashed out of the tournament after losing 1-0 to Guinea’s Syli Stars on Tuesday.

“We apologize to Nigerians for this loss, we never planned to exit the tournament this early. The boys gave their best, “Oliseh said on his Twitter handle – Coach @SundayOOliseh.

The other game between Tunisia and Niger ended 5-0, thereby giving Tunisia three points from the encounter.

With the Eagles’ defeat, Guinea and Tunisia have qualified for the second round with five points each.

Nigeria came third on the table with four points from three matches, coming behind Tunisia and Guinea.

Eagles, hitherto to their crash were leading the table with two points ahead of three other contenders.
