Omotola is marking her 38th birthday,the beautiful mother of 4 was born in Lagos on February 7, 1978 to a family of five who hails from Ondo state. She was the first child of the house with two younger brothers.
Her Nollywood debut was in the movie, ‘Venom of Justice’ in 1995 but her claim to fame was the award winning film, ‘Mortal Inheritance’ which earned her two wins (Best Actress in an English speaking movie and Best Actress overall) at the 1997 edition of THEMA Awards.
Omotola has over the years become one of the biggest stars to have come out of Nollywood with her fame taking her across the globe. In 2013, she was listed on the list of 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine.
Omotola, who studied Estate Management from the Yaba College of Education, is married to an airline pilot, Matthew Ekeinde and the union is blessed with 4 cute kids.
The Nollywood diva is also a singer with her debut album, ‘Gba’ dropping in 2005. She also recorded a second album which however was never released.
Omotola has won several awards including an AMAA and a MAMA.
