Guzape Community charges govt on decent houses

TVC E, NEWS – Members of Guzape Community want government to live up to its promise of providing them with decent houses.

Those who spoke to TVC News say they could barely afford to pay for a roof over their heads.

TVC News Dooshima Abu reports that on a daily basis, hundreds of rural dwellers make their way to cities in search of greener pastures and a better life.

Past governments haven’t fared well in providing affordable houses for the poor but the new government has promised to change the trend, but the country’s economic situation might be a challenge.

Meanwhile Urban population is on the rise with an annual population rate of 2.8 percent.

Many government must rise up to meet this housing challenge by putting to action the outcome of the housing summit bid to kick off in Abuja.
