Ex-SAFA CEO, Sedibe vows to challenge FIFA ban

Leslie Sedibe

TVC E, SPORT – Former South African Football Association SAFA CEO Leslie Sedibe, who was banned by FIFA for 5 years on Monday, says he’ll have his day in court.

FIFA’s ethics watchdog fined and banned Sedibe after an inquiry into match-fixing surrounding South Africa’s warm-up matches ahead of the 2010 World Cup.

Two former Referees were also banned for two years.

Sedibe says SAFA did not duly investigate the match-fixing allegations because of a lack of evidence and that he’s merely a scapegoat for the sports controversial world governing body, FIFA.
