Navy hands over 11 stowaways to Immigration, Police

TVC E, NEWS – Nigerian Navy at the NNS Beecroft, Apapa on Wednesday handed over eleven stowaways to the Nigerian Immigration and Nigeria police for prosecution

Handing over the stowaway made up of two Nigerians, seven Cameroonians and two Sierra Leonians, the Commanding Officer, Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft, Commordore Abraham Adaji said the navy arrested the suspects for illegally boarding Merchant Vessel CITRON on Friday march the 11th.

Also paraded was a fake naval officer, who specializes in escorting vehicles carrying foodstuff from the North to Lagos.

Responding, Nigerian Immigration said the handover shows the determination of government agencies to work together for a greater Nigeria.
