The Ali-Modu Sheriff led faction of the opposition People’s Democratic Party is calling on members to Sheathe their swords and recognize Ali-Modu Sheriff as the party’s chairman.
Acting Deputing Chairman of the party, Cairo Ojugboh who spoke in Abuja on Friday dismissed claims that Ali-Modu Sheriff is working for the All Progressives Congress &urged aggrieved members to come together and join hands in rebuilding the party.
This development comes on the heels of the order delivered by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal HIgh Court Abuja that INEC recognises candidates in Ondo and Edo states endorsed by the Ali Modu Sheriff-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the party.
The PDP has been in crisis since Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi started battling for control of the former ruling party.
