Rita Dominic set for Toronto International Film Festival

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, will be among the many participants at the 2016 prestigious Toronto International Film Festival representing Nigeria.

According to a statement released by the actress, she will be taking part in the exclusive premiere of the historic Nigerian movie ’76. The movie which according to report was specially screened by former president Olusegun Obasanjo recently is a story inspired by true events; six years after the civil war in Nigeria.

Rita Dominic plays the role of a heavily pregnant woman whose life crumbles when the news of her husband’s involvement in a botched military coup hits the headlines.

The movie also stars Ramsey Nouah,  Chidi Mokeme, and others in the gripping drama set against the backdrop of the attempted 1976 military coup against the government of General Murtala Mohammed.

’76 is directed by Izu Ojukwu and produced by Adonijah Owiriwa and Prince Tonye Princewill.
