TVC E. Hennings’ record in the second-tier of German football earned him the move to England after he scored 18 times in 29 games to finish as the division’s top scorer in 2014-15.
Hennings, aged 28 moved to Turf Moor last summer but failed to dislodge first-choice pair Sam Vokes and Andre Gray and scored just twice as Sean Dyche’s side were promoted back to the top flight.
He will now move back to that level with Fortuna, who are currently third in the Bundesliga 2 table.
