King Sunny Ade added that, ‘Usually my birthday celebrations lasts for only ONE Week, but this time, it’ll spread from September 21 till the end of December’
Highlighting events that’s already confirmed as part of the birthday celebrations, KSA said that, ‘On September 21, I’ll be having a Gospel Music Night in Ondo State, then on the 22nd my actual birthday, I’ll have a speacil prayer session with my kids at home and later that day, we’ll have a little house party. On September 23, 2016 we’ll visit a coupe of charity homes’.
He also said, ‘On September 24, the entire family is has planned a big party for me. Then On September 27, there’ll be a special Lecture at Obafemi Awolowo University in collaboration withe his Royal Majesty, OONI of Ife after which we’ll head to the Palace for a grand reception. The celebration will continue in October as we head to South Africa. There’s also plan for a Book Launch sometimes in October. A special music concert will also hold in Ibadan in October that’ll be a blend of music from the hip hop acts to fuji and juju. The Redeemed Christian Church of God is also planning a special event to celebrate me’.
‘Members of FIBAN are also planning a party as well as PMAN and several other bodies that are waiting for dates to confirm when they’ll host and clebrate me, You know am a member of over 79 clubs and they all want to celebrate me, so it not been easy fixing dates. There’s also a plan for an International concert that will be held later in the year, we hope to have the like of Stevie Wonder, Yousou Ndor, Awilo and others’ he said.
