Chris Brown on Sunday refused to stand for the national anthem during a charity basketball game held to commemorate the 9/11 anniversary in Los Angeles joining NFL player  Colin Kaepernick in his national anthem protest.

The 27-year-old singer became the latest star to support NFL player Colin Kaepernick’s protest of racial injustice in the U.S which has stirred up reactions across America.

R&B singer Tank, before singing the anthem, urged the crowd to stand in respect for the men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks 15-years ago. But Chris Brown remained seated and laughed with his friends as those around him stood up.
