Davido’s Skelewu & MC Galaxy’s Sekem featured in Disney’s ‘Queen of Katwe’

Nigerian musicians are definitely taking new frontiers in the global entertainment industry.

MC Galaxy and Davido have added to that list, with the latter not new to snagging international deals.

The duo’s songs “Sekem” and “Skelewu” have both been featured in Disney movie ‘Queen of Katwe’ starring Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo.

Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo‘s song ‘Mbilo Mbilo’ was also featured.

Katwe

‘Queen of Katwe’ is a 2016 American biographical sports drama film and it depicts the life of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan chess prodigy from Katwe who becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performances at World Chess Olympiads.
