Following the repulsive footage of Donald Trump, 70, insulting Nancy O’Dell, 50, (and women in general), Melania broke her silence and issued a statement slamming her husband’s behavior and vulgar language. “The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me.
This does not represent the man that I know,” she stated in her official statement. “He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing out nation and the world.” Whoa, this is huge! Are you surprised by her response?
It’s no wonder Melania is furious. While Trump issued a video statement, apologizing for the 2005 video, he failed to say he was sorry to his wife, his daughter, Ivanka, Nancy, and all the women whom he may have offended in the leaked tape. Melania was pregnant with the couple’s son, Barron, at the time Donald made the lewd comments.
While Melania is urging the public to accept his apology, a lot of members of the Republican party do not share Donald’s wife’s sentiments — especially after the tape from 2005 leaked. Her statement follows Arnold Schwarzenegger, 69, as well as other prominent Republican leaders who no longer see Trump fit to run for president.
