TVC E. Popular Kannywood singer, Suleiman Sukus, has released his highly anticipated single titled “Buratai Don Land”.
The artiste, who is known within the Hausa entertainment industry for his military-themed music, released the track in Kaduna State on Thursday.
The song eulogizes the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, and is laced with military slogans.
Defending the decision to record a track in honour of Mr. Buratai, a Lieutenant General, an excited Sukus told news men that the song would serve as a morale boost for the general.
He said, “As an ex-military man, I know what it means to applaud an officer or recognise his work. When you shower encomium on a soldier, only then is he able to stand firm and be on the alert in a time of crisis when his services are most needed. The morale of the Nigerian military needs to be boosted and that is what I set out to achieve with all my songs.”
He noted, “Buratai is the leader of the Nigerian army and I think if a leader is happy and strong, the entire force will always be battle ready.
“The song is technically dedicated to Nigerian soldiers who are fighting on the battlefield just to make ensure that we live in peace.
“Buratai has proven to Nigerians that he is a real soldier. Working alongside his other colleagues in the Nigerian Army, the war against Boko Haram has been successful thus far.”
Sukus, whose last album titled Kick Starter was released two years ago, also revealed that he is currently working on the videos for the song and as well as those of other tracks of his latest album.
One of Kannywood’s most prominent singers, Suku’s hit song, Morale, has earned him acclamation and praises from the likes of former head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, and retired General Tanko Ayuba.
