Ogun Govt committed to workers welfare – APC

The Ogun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has assured that it remained labour-friendly despite the just suspended ten day industrial action by the workers in the state.

A statement by its state publicity secretary states that the just concluded government/labour face-off was the handiwork of instigators outside the labour circle, done for purely political reasons.

APC further pointed out that no worker in the state has been sacked on account of participation in the strike.

Lawal noted that the state civil service commission only exercised its statutory responsibility of keeping the service sane and insulated against the vagaries of politics, by dropping workers who clearly engaged in unwarranted politicking while hiding under the covers of Teachers Day celebration.
