Tennis stars join in the mannequin challenge

Aligning the top eight tennis players outside their private locker rooms might have been the easiest part of pulling off the ATP World Tour Finals mannequin challenge on Thursday (November 10).

The hardest part – getting them to stand still and stop telling jokes.

The always entertaining Gael Monfils was his usual self, sharing laughs in French with Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss was improvising as well, playing director and changing how he’d hold his racquet.

New world number one Andy Murray might have had the toughest job. The Scot had to hold his arm steady for about a minute, long enough for the mannequin challenge and the selfie.

Dominic Thiem hadn’t heard of the social media trend of filming people standing still, but the London debutant was on board with the craze that’s been embraced by politicians, musicians and professional athletes, including the NBA’s LeBron James and Steph Curry.

Novak Djokovic, Milos Raonic, Marin Cilic and Kei Nishikori participated as well.
