Some of the goods valued at over 7million naira according to the agency were voluntarily submitted while others were mopped up during routine operations, a success the NAFDAC boss attributes to inter-agency cooperation

And as the fire is ignited, the agency says it recognises the negative impact of open bonfire of counterfeit goods on the environment and appeals to the federal government to put measures in place to ensure a safer exercise.

It also appeals to the Nigerian public to work together with the agency by being mindful of products purchased while reporting suspicious activities within their immediate environment.
