It was another Friday of excitement on the set of Entertainment Splash, a prime time show on Television Continental, as Fortune Oshioke Ibrahim a.k.a Limerick got the nod from the judges to proceed to the next level in the ongoing TVC Entertainment rap reality show, Rap or Drop.
The week 3 contestants, quartet of Femi Falola a.k.a FemzyNab, Bala Abdulahi a.k.a Black Attitude, Onyeka Scott and Fortune Oshioke Ibrahim a.k.a Limerick came together in a fierce rap battle and DJ Stramborella was on hand with tight beats to set the stage right and charged for the show.
Following three rounds of lyrical display, the decision of the Judges on the show; Rotimi Salu a.k.a Sdot and Wale Animashaun aka Wale PowPowPow was announced, after a rigorous summation process. The Judges made it known that Limerick was able to convince them beyond reasonable doubt that he is psychologically and lyrically sound to go to the next stage of the competition.
In his comments after being announced as the winner for week 3, Fortune Oshioke Ibrahim, popularly known as Limerick, a 200 level student of Mass Communication at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), could not contain his excitement.
He said, “I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been supporting me since the beginning of this competition and I want to reassure them that I am fired up and other contestants should be ready for fire at the final round.”
Rap or Drop is a high energy Rap reality show produced and packaged by Television Continental. The competition affords young and aspiring Rappers in Nigeria the opportunity to pursue a once- in- a- lifetime shot at stardom in a no-holds-barred freestyle Rap battle.
The competition is in search of Nigeria’s best freestyle Rapper and it is targeted at the youths, both male and female between the ages of 15 – 25 years.
