Cameroon will be tough, Okon warns Falcons

Former  Super Falcons coach, Edwin Okon, has said the team should  expect a physical battle  in  Saturday’s 2016 African Women’s Cup of Nations final at the Ahidjo Ahmadou Stadium, Yaounde, against hosts Cameroon.

Nigeria are seeking their eighth title at the expense of the Indomitable Lionesses,  who have yet to win  the tournament. The Falcons defeated the Central Africans to win the title in 2004 and 2014.

Okon told our correspondent on Thursday,  “What will be on the mind of the Cameroonians is revenge. The Falcons have beaten them twice before and they will like to put a stop to it,” he said.

“The match will be very tough and it will take one moment of brilliance from any the two teams to win it. Since the competition began, the Falcons have seemed to struggle against other opponents except the Malians, who they beat convincingly.
