National Assembly Correspondent, Sumner Sambo reports that Nigeria has many regulatory agencies for air, sea and land transport, but the proposed National Transport Commission bill seeks to harmonise them into a single entity.

The content of the bill does not seem to go down well with the Ministers at this hearing.

Rotimi Amaechi and Babatunde Fashola believe that the functions of the proposed commission are already being performed by existing agencies.

The legislators however remain resolute on the desirability of the proposed commission
