Senate to probe non-payment of Falcons’ allowance

The Senate Committee on Sports has pledged to investigate the non payment of allowances to the victorious Super Falcons.

It also promises to recommend severe punishment for any official found to have diverted or stopped the payment of the match bonuses and allowances of the sportswomen.

The legislators express anger over the unpalatable treatment meted to the footballers but urge the Super Falcons to remain calm and return to their various destinations as it meets with the appropriate authorities to save Nigeria further embarrassment
