Demolition: Olokonla residents seek governor Ambode’s intervention

Residents of Olokonla Community in Eti-Osa have called on Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to institute a Special Courts Marshal to investigate the unlawful demolition of buildings in the area.

The aggrieved residents staged a peaceful protest to the governor’s office to express their displeasure and seek compensation for the affected people whose houses have been destroyed.

They said property worth more than Fifteen billion naira, that is about Forty Eight million U.S dollars were affected.

They stopped at the entrance of the Lagos State House of Assembly to express their grievances before proceeding to the governor’s office.
