Run-DMC is suing US retailers Wal-Mart and Amazon for $50m

A founding member of the legendary rap group, Run-D.M.C has filed a lawsuit in the US accusing Wal-Mart, Amazon and other
retailers of infringing on the group’s copyright.

Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels is filing for $50 million and alleging that the retailers sold products bearing the group’s name without permission.

The legal complaint further alleges that the defendants are ‘advertising, selling, manufacturing, promoting and distributing multiple products in Run-DMC’s trademarked name and confusing the public as to the source of origin and endorsement of its products.’
