It was also alleged that he stole her mobile phones to erase any evidence linking him to her.

According to BBC,  a CCTV footage revealed that the deceased followed Chinda to his apartment before they returned to her residence where she was killed.

McGraa, who died of asphyxiation, was probably smothered with a pillow and strangled with her scarf.

During the trial, it emerged that McGraa had a seven-year-old son living with her adopted mother in London.

“At the heart of this horrific crime was a young mother, daughter and friend whose life was cut tragically short in what must have been terrifying circumstances,” Stuart Houston, a detective said.

“Throughout, Chinda has shown no real remorse for his depraved action and taken no responsibility for robbing a young boy of his mother.”
