Belinade Film Festival: Lone African film “Felicite” gets award

 

A Democratic Republic of Congo film ‘Felicite’ won an award at the Belinade Film Festival.

It was the only African film entered in the competition.

“Felicité”, talks about the evolution of a courageous mum who struggled to feed her family by raising money from her job as a singer in a bar in the D.R Congo.

film director, Alain Gomis says, this was not his first time in Berlin explaining that he had showcased a movie titled “Tey” in 2012.

“Felicité”, Gomis’ fourth movie is the portrait of a courageous mother who takes her job with seriousness because her son has been a victim of an accident and needs financial resources for medical care.
