Sunshine players vow to boycott NPFL matches

The players of Sunshine Stars Football Club have vowed not to honour any Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) match any more until their outstanding salaries are paid.

The players who have been protesting at the Ondo State Governor’s Office in Akure, say the government has not paid their salaries for the past seven months.

Sunshine are 15th on the log and are scheduled to host Rivers United on Sunday in a Match-day 10 clash.
