Nigerian Entertainers unveil campaign against Piracy, Intellectual theft

Key-players in the entertainment industry have urged the Federal Government to introduce policies to protect the intellectual properties of locally made brands.

The campaign against piracy, intellectual property theft and counterfeiting in Lagos with the theme: “United We Stand’’ is an initiative of popular make-up artist Tara Fela Durotoye.

According to Tara it is high time measures are taken to make government do the needful.

Others at the event including chairman of the Copyright society of Nigeria, COSON, Tony Okoroji, described piracy, counterfeiting, and intellectual properties as evil and applauded entertainers for the campaign.
