Lagos @ 50 : Former civil servants hold summit

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has described the State Public Service as the most progressive in Nigeria.

The governor said this during 2017  summit of the Association of Lagos state Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries.

Describing civil servants as the engine room of any government, Governor Ambode said over the years, members of the association had contributed immensely to the growth of the State, and that it was important for them to continue to put their wealth of knowledge at the disposal of the State.

Governor Ambode, being a product of the public service, as a retired Permanent Secretary in the State, said he was looking forward with confidence to a robust and inspiring communique at the end of the two-day summit.

The governor also commended the association  for dedicating this year’s summit to the celebration of the golden jubilee of Lagos state.
