Ogun state to honour Anthony Joshua after win against Klitschko

Image result for Anthony JoshuaThe Ogun State Government has revealed plans to honour new world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.

Joshua defeated Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in London on Saturday, knocking out the Ukrainian in the 11th round.

The London 2012 gold medallist was born in England to a Nigerian mother and father, who comes from Sagamu in Ogun State.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Afolabi Afuape, says a decision will be taken on what to do to honour him but nothing is concluded yet.

Also Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly Yinka Mafe says he will move a motion to have the Sagamu Stadium and the popular Cinema Street named after him.
