Liverpool offer an improved £74m bid for Thomas Lemar

Liverpool have shown their seriousness to acquire Monaco star midfielder Thomas Lemar by making an improved bid of £74million in a bid to convince Monaco to sell the player.

The Anfield side have even offered to lend them Divock Origi on loan to sweeten the deal for the 21-year-old France star. Arsenal were chasing the attacker all summer but have given up landing the star as he price continues to rise.

Arsene Wenger has had three offers rejected for his services including a £45m bid, with the French boss declaring that any move to bring him in this window is “dead”.

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim is reluctant to offload any more players having seen the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva already leave the club.
