How much do you know about vanilla?

Vanilla is a flavoring that gives your snacks or food a different nice taste and fragrance. It is derived from orchids of the genus Vanilla, primarily from the Mexican species, flat-leaved vanilla. Amazingly, vanilla can be used for other things outside baking, it can be added to smoothies, milkshakes, yogurt, it can be used for the skin and the hair.

Here are some health benefits of vanilla.

Vanilla is an anti-oxidant that prevents the negative defects of free radicals, such as cancer and other chronic diseases.

The cardiovascular impact of Vanilla, especially it’s active ingredient, vanillin, can measurably reduce cholesterol levels in the body. This is a great advantage for people at high risk of heart attacks and strokes, as lower cholesterol can prevent inflammation in the arteries and blood clots.

Vanilla is included in hygiene and beauty products because of it’s many effects on the hair and skin. It helps in strengthening the hair and induce blood flow to the scalp, encouraging growth and more aesthetically pleasing hair.
