Burna Boy allegedly involved in Mr 2kay’s robbery attack

The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Edgal Imohimi in a press conference, has declared singer, Burna Boy wanted for his alledged involvement in Mr 2kay’s robbery attack at Eko Hotel on Sunday, October 22.

Mr 2kay was reportedly robbed at gun point inside one of the rooms at Eko Hotel around 11pm after his performance at the “Buckwyld N Breathless” concert at the hotel.

“We don’t know the level of Burnaboy’s involvement in the attack but we know he was invited by the police because the men arrested for the robbery implicated him.

 

Following the robbery incident, Mr 2kay filed a 500million naira lawsuit against Eko Hotel and sources says his long-standing beef and a recent one with fellow Port Harcourt bred act, Burna Boy may have led to the incident.

It can be recalled that a few weeks before the attack, Mr 2Kay slammed Burnaboy on Twitter after Burnaboy said he will beat up fake and fraudulent pastors. We hear that Mr 2Kay calling out Burnaboy didn’t go down well with him and he (Burnaboy) sent a message to Mr2Kay threatening him.

According to the Police commisioner, ‘4 armed robbers carried out the attack and detectives were able to arrest one of their girlfriends who is identidied as ‘Matejero’ which led to the capture of the others. During interogation, the robbers confessed that they were hired by Burna Boy through his manager, Joel Kantiock who was arrested in Zaria, Kaduna State’.

 

The CP went on to say that ‘they confessed to receiving a part payment of 50,000 naira before the job and another 50,000 was paid to the robbers directly by Burna Boy when the job was done. At the moment, efforts to apprehend Burna Boy is proving futile but we count on him to make himself available for questioning immediately’.”
