Real Madrid has sent their congratulatory message to their rival, Atletico after Los Colchoneros won the Europa League in Lyon.
A 3-0 scoreline sealed their third such triumph in the competition and hammered home LaLiga’s dominance on European soil, which Real can continue with victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final later this month.
“Congratulations to Atleti for their Europa League title won tonight in Lyon,” tweeted Los Blancos on Wednesday night after the final whistle.

Atletico beat Marseille 3-0 last night and Antoine Griezmann was the hero of the match as he scored twice in their 3-0 victory.
Their triumph comes after their agonising defeats to city rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League finals of 2014 and 2016. They had previously won the Europa League in 2010 and again in 2012.
