On June 24 2018, D’banj lost his 13-month old son, Daniel Oyebanjo III, who drowned in the singer’s Ikoyi residence while he was away in America for the BET Awards. Music star D’banj has now released a new statement since the death of his son, revealing what has kept him going since the unfortunate incident in June.

The music star made this known on his Instagram page that the past few weeks have been incredibly trying and difficult for him since the death of his son. Thanking his team for their support while appreciating God’s love,

He wrote:

‘THE PAST FEW WEEKS HAVE BEEN INCREDIBLY TRYING AND DIFFICULT,
BUT GOD’S LOVE HAS KEPT ME AND MY FAMILY GOING. I CAN’T THANK MY TEAM
ENOUGH AND THE INCREDIBLE LOVE FROM YOU ALL. MAY GOD KEEP US ALL.
#STRONGERTOGETHER’…🙏🙏🙏
