A lady identified as Mary Martins has narrated how her bike man set her up to be robbed in Lagos when she and her friend rode on the bike from CMS to Mile 2 on Sunday, August 12.
According to her, mid way through the journey, the bike man started acting funny and stopped the bike to see what was wrong with it only for two armed robbers to appear from the bush and harass the ladies.
Below is the post where she narrated how the bike man suddenly stopped and told them to come down from the bike while he checked what was supposedly wrong with it and in the process, his fellow robbers suddenly showed up. According to her, the robbers went ahead to harass them and even frightened them. They made away with the ladies’ valuables with the aid of another bike that was waiting on the other side of the road.
Mary has now taken the opportunity to advise people to be wary of bike men in Lagos as some of them are either robbers or work hand-in-hand with robbers to steal from their unknowing passengers. She said:
“Please Read, ya all be safe out there. I have lived all my life in Lagos and this is my first experience it was happening just few minutes past 8pm and it wasn’t funny! It could have been worst all thanks to God”
