Drake sues woman who allegedly made false rape and pregnancy claim

Drake has filed a lawsuit against a woman named Layla Lace who claimed he raped and got her pregnant.

Layla Lace is sued for allegedly making false pregnancy and rape claims, attempting to extort the rapper for “millions of dollars”

In the lawsuit filed by attorney Larry Stein, and reported by TMZ, Drake alleges that last year during his Boy Meets World Tour in Manchester, England, himself and lace hooked up at his hotel where they had consensual sex and “Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex…”

TMZ reports that the lawsuit lays out a “fantasy relationship” constructed by Lace and includes texts allegedly sent between Lace and Drake. Lace went on Instagram shortly after the supposed exchanges and claimed that she was pregnant.

In April 2017, she posted on Instagram and for the first time claimed she was pregnant, saying, “So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone!!!” According to the lawsuit, she then threatened to publicly leak messages from Drake. She made good on her threat and went on SiriusXM and announced Drake got her pregnant.

According to the lawsuit, Lace lawyered up and asked that Drake pay her for the baby. When that didn’t fly, Drake claims Lace went to the police and said that the Canadian artist raped her. The lawsuit says that Drake was cleared by the Manchester police but Lace still demanded millions of dollars in exchange for her not going public with her charges.

It appears that the rapper has had enough and is now suing for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, abuse of process, and defamation.

While it wouldn’t be the first time that Drake was accused of hiding a child, the lawsuit says that “there is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby,” noting that a child would have been born in the fall.
