A 100 level Chemical Engineering student, Hikmat Gbadamosi of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State found dead in her room after a long-standing battle with depression.
Late Hikmat was found dead in her room, yesterday, April 29. According to her best friend, the deceased had been battling a medical condition since birth and the resulting pain sent her into depression.

She is assumed to have consumed two bottles of a poisonous substance on Saturday and was only discovered on Monday after her best friend went to her room with some classmates to find out why she missed the test that they had yesterday.
