Deputy Governor of Lagos debates Nigeria jollof with Akon

Akon is currently in Nigeria for Google For Nigeria event.

During the event, the deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and Senegalese music artist, Akon, broke into a jollof rice debate on stage.

Akon defended his country of origin, saying: “Senegal Invented Jollof Rice.”

While Dr Obafemi Hamzat replied: “I’m not talking about who actually Invented, I am saying Nigeria Jollof Is the Best.”
