Former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, was invited to by the Ndi-Igbo Germany association to its Iri-ji (a traditional festival) celebration on Saturday but was assaulted by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra in Nuremberg, Germany on Saturday.
While many believe he deserved it, others feel there are better ways for Nigerians to express their grievances.
