Parenting Tips: Examining a child’s diary helps to improve parent/Child relationship

Parenting coach Biodun Odunukwe joined TiTi, one of the host for #WakeUpNigeria to discuss an interesting topic, ‘Examining a child’s diary’, which she described as is a combination of written information on a child’s diary and the information stored up in their memory.

Titi gave an example of a 14 year old Amara, who wrote on her diary, saying she doesn’t like her parents because they are too forceful.

In response, Biodun Odunukwe  informed parents that their perception determines their productivity. Their perception and expression of their children determines their productivity  as parents.

If a child writes down such, then it should be a source of worry for the parent, because it should be your parenting responsibility.

She also concluded that children are so deep and they watch what we do as parents, as such necessary attention be paid to them. As it helps to improve the relationship between parent and child.

Parents should learn to engage in conversations with their children regularly.
