Oscar 2021 Might Be Postponed

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science (The Oscars) is reportedly considering postponing the 93rd Oscars which is set to hold in 2021. According to reports, there are no concrete plans at the moment for the event which is expected to hold in February 2021, and the rapid shutdown of film production and cinemas has thrown the Oscars schedule into chaos, with many films being released only online. If you would recall, the Academy announced plans some months ago to support filmmakers amidst the coronavirus pandemic by considering movies that premiered on steaming platforms for Oscar eligibility. In April, the Academy announced temporary changes in Oscar eligibility, allowing films that missed out on a cinema release to be considered for awards. Previously, films had to be screened in cinemas for a week before 31 December to be eligible. A postponement may mean the deadline for eligibility would also change. Watch TVC on GOTV...

Ludacris Addresses Controversial R.Kelly Lyrics Following Backlash

American rapper Ludacris has come out to address his lyrics in an un yet released song where he mentioned embattled singer R. Kelly’s name. The song which is titled ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ features Lil Wayne and it was premiered during a live Instagram versus battle with rapper Nelly. The yet to be released song which had the lyrics “I love R. Kelly, but around my daughters, I’m not comfortable” has sparked a lot of controversies online with many asking why had to say such. R. Kelly is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago after being indicted on several counts of aggravated sexual crimes.
