There is a current outrage in Nigeria following the gruesome killing of 22-year-old student, Uwavera Omozuwa and Tina Ezekwe.
According to reports, Tina was shot dead by 2 police officers on the 26th of May in Iyana-Oworo while Uwa was brutally assaulted and raped inside a church where she went to study in Benin.
Also right now, the US is undergoing a reckoning on race and police brutality after footage went viral of a white police officer killing a black man – George Floyd – by kneeling on his neck for more than 8 minutes.
