Tamar Braxton Speaks Up Following Suicide Attempt

American singer and TV personality Tamar Braxton has spoken up for the first time following her hospitalization for a possible suicide attempt.

Tamar took to her Instagram account to post a lengthy message regarding what led her to attempt to take her life. She also opened up about her reality being the cause.

She wrote, “In this present moment, it is my only responsibility to be real with myself and to be real with the ones who truly love me and care for my healing.

I have without fail, shared with you my brightest days, and I know that sharing with you what has been my darkest will be the light for any man or woman who is feeling the same defeat I felt just only a week ago”
Tamar Braxton also revealed that after eleven years in business with her partners, promises made remained unfulfilled. She wrote, “I was betrayed, taken advantage of, overworked, and underpaid”

She also noted that she wrote letters requesting to be freed from her contract, detailing the erosion of her essence, but her cry was ignored while the demands on her persisted.

The singer further revealed mental illness is real and requested people normalise acknowledging it, instead of associating it with shame and humiliation.

If you would recall, Tamar was rushed to the hospital after she was discovered by her boyfriend David Adefeso who called 911.
