I Was Cancelled For Saying Ghana Influenced Nigerian Music , Mr. Eazi Reveals

Mr. Eazi, a well-known singer and entrepreneur, recently commented on the criticism he received after stating his belief that Ghana had affected Nigerian music. Mr. Eazi acknowledged the tremendous effect of Ghanaian music on modern Nigerian music in tweets on January 11, 2017, yet his assertion was met with criticism from various quarters. Despite the threats, Mr. Eazi feels that expressing his views is important and supports his position.

He discussed the need for courteous talks and constructive criticism in the music industry in a recent edition of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast with presenter Joey Akan, rather than individuals being “cancelled” for their opinions. Mr. Eazi expressed regret that several of his friends had joined the criticism rather than talking with him personally
