It is still award season and Nigerians are as usual, making the nation proud while carting away awards.
The 2024 MOBO Awards took place and Nigerian artiste Asake won the Best African act, beating other Nigerian superstars like Adekunle Gold, Davido, Rema, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Wizkid, South African Tyla, Cameroonian Libianca, and eSwatini artiste Uncle Waffles.
He was not the only Nigerian with a win as Afro-gospel hitmaker, Limoblaze also won the Best Gospel Act.
Other winners include Central Cee for Best Male Act and Song of the Year with Dave, Raye for Best Female Act, Stormzy for Video of the year, Drake and 21 Savage for Best International Act US, Damson Idris as Franklin Saint in Snowfall for Best performance in a TV show/film, amongst others.
