Burna Boy, Sunny Ade, and Fela Kuti in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums

Another great feat for Nigerian music as Nigerian icons Fela Kuti, Burna Boy, and Sunny Ade have been immortalized on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums.

The original 500 Greatest Albums article by Rolling Stone was initially published in 2003 and now, the prominent magazine rolled out a fresh list of the TOP 500 GREATEST ALBUMS of all time.
The new list, however, features three Nigerian albums which are Burna Boy’s 2019 fourth studio album ‘African Giant’ at number three hundred and thirty, the legendary Fela Kuti and his band, The Africa 70’s 1975 album ‘Expensive *BLEEP*’ at number four hundred and two and Juju Maestro, King Sunny Ade’s 2003 album ‘The Best Of Classic Years’ which has a mix of his classic works between 1967 to 1974 at number four hundred and sixty-five.
