Popular Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has revealed why her colleague and close friend Uche Jombo initially hated her.

Ini Edo made this revelation in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo when she was asked about her friendship with Uche and how they became close friends.

She recounted how Uche got the wrong impression of her the first time they met as she thought her to be disrespectful and proud. But with time they knew each other better and bonded well.

She said:

“Uche [Jombo] and I started not as friends. She thought I was so rude. She thought I was so rude, that I was doing too much. She was like “What is she feeling like?” Like, I kept them on set for days. The first time we ever worked together, apparently she had been hearing my name, “Oh that new girl”, “oh she’s all over the place, all the producers are using her now so she’s like it girl”, you know, that is already making her feel like “what is she feeling like, eschew”.

“And then I now came late. I kept them like how many days on set. So eventually, according to her, I walked into the set and I did not say hello to her. So she was really upset with me. She hated me.

So eventually, I think, I don’t know how that wall got broken. I’m a sweetheart anyway, so you can hate me from afar but you can’t hate me when you know me, that’s just what it is.

So you know, I think eventually we got talking and I think we shared a drink. She didn’t waste time telling me “You, you no dey greet person abi? You no know to say I no be your mate!” [laughs].

“I think that’s how the ice was broken, and she’s been an amazing person to me. I think it’s mutual respect and real love for each other. There’s just really nothing but friendship more than just love and respect. Once you have that for each other, it’s not like you guys won’t have issues or you won’t step on each other’s toes, but once that mutual respect is there and that real love is there, we can communicate cuz I like to talk, so we can talk through everything.”

Temmie who is a lesbian revealed this in a recent podcast with BBNaija star Doyin, giving reasons that Christians have been mean to her.

She also mentioned that she jokes about not going to hell to stir reactions from people.

‘’I do not think I am going to hell. I joke about it often because it gets on people’s nerves and I love it but I do not think I am going to hell. I do not believe there is a pit of eternal damnation that I am going to. And to be honest, if there is a pit of eternal damnation that I am going to, I will rather go there than be stuck with Christians because Christians are the meanest people I have met in my life” she said.

Davido revealed in the interview that his father is his financial adviser and they usually have disagreements over his extravagant spending pattern.

According to him, his father encourages him the save and invest rather than make materialistic purchases although the singer maintains that showbiz is his business. He said:

“It’s still business. Sometimes we get into a lot of arguments. You know, showbiz is different from a normal person’s life that is just doing business.

Like for example, I might be in Italy and maybe he just sees a caption ‘Oh Davido buys this $300,000 watch’ He will be like ‘Why are you wasting money like that’? I will be like, Dad you won’t understand. We are using it to inspire people. But all in all, it is still business.

He still calls me to make sure that I save here, invest there. For example, I wanted to rent a penthouse. He advised me, ‘You are wasting money by spending on that (rent). Buy it and use it when you are around. Little advice here and there.”

I am like everybody else, if i have the opportunity to leave this country, i will.

What is your take on Sex Tapes?

That will probably never happen with me because i am always scared of such things. As a matter of fact, i am so paranoid that even if it’s not sex, like normal conversations, i don’t even let phones be around. I always ask, ‘let me see your phone’.

Do you agree with the beliefs that the lavish lifestyle of artistes influence the youth negatively?

I won’t agree with that because i feel that every artist work hard. We work hard to be successful and if we are successful we should be able to afford a lavish lifestyle.

Artist lifestyle shows that hardwork pays too. That is what the youth should learn. You can’t rush success, like, they’s no artist that doesn’t have a hustle story.

What is your current relationship with Wizkid like?

We are cool, we are very cool, we are in a nice place. We are in a very good place where everybody is doing their thing.

Should we be expecting any future collaboration between you and Wizkid?

The vulture populations in West Africa are undergoing a dramatic decline over the last 30 years. Their particular ecology and sociality makes them vulnerable to various risks, including environmental changes, poisoning and bioaccumulation of toxic substances from agricultural products, pesticides, and veterinary drugs used in cattle livestock

Why Vultures?

I wrote about vultures because I want Nigerians and Africans at large to know the importance of vultures.

A common characteristic among vultures, and possibly one of the reasons people aren’t fond of them, is the visible lack of feathers on their heads and neck.

This is a perfect adaptation for their own health and hygiene. No feathers mean they keep clean while feeding on carcasses because sticking their heads inside the dead body of an animal is a messy business.

Vultures are really important to our environment, and many people do not know that because of wrong narratives like, they’re evil, feed on humans etc.

Vultures help clean up our environment. Feed on our waste and what could cause diseases but unfortunately.

In the book, Mariam highlighted types of Vultures that are indigenous to Nigerians and are critically endangered. They are

•  Egyptian vulture
• White-Headed Vulture
• Hooded Vulture

What would happen if vultures became extinct?

According to National Geographic, these endangered scavengers are crucial because “without vultures, reeking carcasses would likely linger longer, insect populations would boom, and diseases would spread – to people, livestock, and other wild animals”.

Why have vultures species become endangered?  

Africa is the home of 11 vulture species, of which seven are currently considered critically endangered or endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Vultures face threats on several fronts, all of which have contributed to their species populations decreasing across the continent. One of the major causes is poisoning.

A different kind of threat, but one that is also destroying vulture populations, is their use in traditional medicine. Different body parts of the vulture are believed to heal ailments and give supernatural powers, like clairvoyance.

But apart from the importance of vultures, these birds are incredibly fascinating for other reasons!

Nas boi has been seen in recent movies and he attributes his presence in new movies to the other characters he has created.

With the advent of comic skits on social media, it is presumed that there is a lot of pressure on content creators/skit makers to make contents regularly. Nas Boi speaking on pressure skit, stated he’s not one to be pressured. In fact, he’s not all about the money.

According to him, he does more than making skit. Asides making people laugh, Nas Boi reveals he does other videos to impact people’s lives. “I’m a comedian, I’m not a fool.”

“I don’t copy, I’m unique. Asides making people laugh, I do some inspirational videos too.”

Nas Boi met Davido in 2020 after several skits of him mimicking Davido went viral. It would be recalled that Nas Boi in an interview revealed that he scared when he met Davido and Peruzzi, because he never knew what their reactions would be and the kind of people around him.

However, he got comfortable with the 30 billion gang leader and DMW boss, and he was seen on several occasions uploading a video of him and davido. According to him, Davido has been showing him nothing but love every time.

“When you ask a guy out, you kind of take the wind out of his sails. Guys are wired to chase ands girls are wired to sit pretty and be chased.

“The guy is flattered initially, but because you have taken the game away from them, he now become the ‘chasee.’ It’s not natural for them.”

Tehillah says the corny lines men like to use when chasing women, like, “heaven must be missing an angel,” you deprive them of using those lines when you ask them out.

Tope points out that some men like to be chased, and may not have an issue with a woman chasing or asking them out.

Tehillah doesn’t fault Tope’s point, she says asking a guy out on a date isn’t a problem.

“It’s a date, it’s not marry me. You’re not on bended knees saying please marry me. You can go ahead be friends, know where his head is at, like you (tope) said.

“You’ve asked him out, he’s flattered, but then the question is, who’s leading? who’s chasing?”

This brings Tehillah’s point of ”positioning.’ She says there are different ways to get the guy to notice you, or get the guy to ask you on a date, without actually asking. “You can send the right signal, and he will get it,” she says.
