										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 5th edition of the Annual African Muzik Magazine Awards 2018 (AFRIMMA) was held at House of Blues in Dallas Texas and Nigerian artistes, Wizkid, Davido, Yemi Alade clinched major awards.<span id="more-71894"></span></p>
<p>The award show which was filled with energetic performances from many African singers across the continent, gave fair recognition to various Nigerian superstars in the music industry.</p>
<p>Topping the list of award winners are Davido and Yemi Alade who emerged as winners of the Best Male West Africa and Best Female West Africa, respectively.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2018 AFRIMMA is here again. The organizers of the annual African Muzik Magazine Awards have released the Nominee list for the Awards and this time it is packed with the biggest stars from all over the continent.<span id="more-69940"></span></p>

<p>The AFRIMMA ceremony is set to take place at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas on 7 October 2018.</p>
<p>The 5th Edition of the Diaspora awards sees African musical stars like Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz, Ali Kiba, Khaligraph Jones, Mr Eazi, J Hus, Hiro all earn nomination gongs for a brilliant and consistent year.</p>

<p>The list, which is heavily male-dominated, also sees Kiss Daniel, Cassper Nyovest, Sarkodie and South African group Mafikizolo receive nods for work released over the past year.</p>
<p>AFRIMMA has added a new category this year. The AFRIMMA Achievers Award will reward achieving persons in the wider field of entertainment and sports. Comedian Trevor Noah and actor Djimon Honsou are some of the nominees in the new category.</p>

<p>As AFRIMMA announces the host and co-host of this year’s award showpiece in Dallas, Africa’s King of Comedy, Basketmouth would be hosting the biggest African music awards in Diaspora for the third year running and he would be joined by the delectable Cynthia Bailey, American reality television sweetheart.</p>
<p>Cynthia Bailey, a star of Real Housewives of Atlanta is also a supermodel who has bewitched American TV screens with her incredible rise.</p>
<p>Organisers say that this year’s awards promises to be a beautiful night of the best of both worlds as Bailey takes her place along the multi-talented Basketmouth come October 15.</p>
