The accused are facing four count charges of publishing defamatory and malicious story against the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Delivering his ruling, Chief Magistrate, Alatuwo Elkanah Fubara, granted the two accused bail in the sum of two hundred thousand Naira with credible sureties who reside in Port Harcourt.

The court also struck out one of the charges on cyber crime against Ms. Olunloyo for lack of jurisdiction to try the matter.

Recall that Ms Olunloyo had posted a letter that was written by a member of Pastor Ibiyeomie’s church in which the religious leader was accused of a number of misconducts that included infidelities.

She was arrested by the police in Ibadan on March 5 after Pastor Ibiyeomie registered a formal complaint where he accused her of defaming his character.

The female lawyer –Yewande Oyeniran who allegedly murdered her husband , Lowo Oyeniran, in cold blood at their Akobo residence in ibadan on February the 2nd , 2016 was on Tuesday the 16th 2016 re-arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Iyanganku but taken back to Agodi prison shortly after she was brought in.

The presiding Chief Magistrate over the case, Mr. Kehinde Durosaro–Tijani was informed that the Oyo state’s department of public prosecution (DPP) had given legal advice that the case should be transferred to the state high court for further hearing.

The accused, Yewande was earlier brought into the courtroom with her face covered with a veil, a development which did not go down well with the family members of the deceased and their legal counsel, kehinde Adesiyan.

The counsel to the accused, Oluseun Abimbola, said he saw nothing wrong with covering his client’s face, stating that he had every right to protect his client even if it means covering her face with a veil.

Family members of the deceased are worried that they may not get justice as the accused works with the Directorate of Public Prosecution in Oyo State. But With the release of the legal advice within a week, it may have allayed any the fears the deceased’s family members may have.
