DJ Khaled, a highly successful figure in the music industry, is known for his hands-on approach to managing his wealth. In a recent interview on Club Shay Shay, the Miami-based producer discussed his commitment to personally overseeing all aspects of his financial affairs, emphasizing his reluctance to entrust these responsibilities to external parties.

Nigerian music sensation Tems has earned her first Grammy award for her contribution to Future’s hit single ‘Wait For U’ which won the award for Best Melodic rap performance beating ‘Beautiful’ by DJ Khaled Featuring Future & SZA, ‘First Class’ by Jack Harlow, ‘Die Hard’ by Kendrick Lamar Featuring Blxst & Amanda Reifer, and ‘Big Energy (Live)’ by Latto.

Tems’ vocals were sampled on the single ‘Wait For U’ a song that also features Canadian superstar rapper Drake.

The African giant, Burna Boy was also nominated for Best Global Song performance with ‘Last Last’ and Best Global Album with ‘Love Damini’.

He however lost the Best Global Song category to ‘Bayethe’ by Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini & Nomcebo Zikode, and Best Global album category to ‘Sakura’ by Masa Takumi.

The 65th annual Grammy awards also featured Beyonce’s official crowning as the queen of the Grammys, with the most wins of all time as she took home the following awards, Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for ‘Renaissance’, Best Traditional R&B Performance for ‘Plastic Off the Sofa’, Best Dance/Electronica Recording for ‘Break My Soul’, and Best R&B song for ‘Cuff It’, making it her 32nd Grammy award and surpassing late composer Georg Solti in all-time wins.

Other big winners of the night include Kendrick Lamar who won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for ‘The Heart Part 5’ and Best Rap Album for Mr Morale and The Big Steppers.

Harry Styles won Album of the Year for ‘Harry’s House’, Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’ won Record of the Year, while Samara Joy won Best New Artiste.

Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’ won in the Best Pop Solo Performance category, and the Best Music Video category went to Taylor Swift for ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’.

One of the big performances of the night celebrated the upcoming 50th anniversary of hip-hop, as it featured Run-DMC, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Salt-N-Pepa, Flava Flav, Queen Latifah, Big Boi of Outkast, Missy Elliott and more.

Drake Named Shazam’s All-Time Most Searched Artiste

To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the popular application, the company released a comprehensive list of top moments throughout its history, one of which is the most Shazamed song by genre, the first-ever Shazamed song, which was T. Rex’s ‘Jeepster’ on April 19, 2002, and more.

Drake was named the most Shazamed artiste of all time with over three hundred and fifty million Shazams across songs he has either been on or featured.

His top track with more than seventeen million Shazams is ‘One Dance’ which features our very own Wizkid and Kyla.

The other most Shazamed songs are ‘Dance Monkey’ by Tones, And I, with over forty-one million Shazams, while ‘Crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley was the most Shazamed song using the ‘2580’ text service.

All of this is coming after Drake has recently crowned the artiste with the most top five hits in Billboard Hot 100 history.

The rapper’s recent feature on DJ Khaled’s song, ‘Staying Alive,’ which also has Lil Baby is his latest entry, which debuted at number 5 on the chart.

This song now makes it Drake’s thirtieth song to reach the top five on Billboard Hot 100, surpassing the previous mark held by The Beatles for fifty-five years.

Khaled posted a series of Instagram videos, DJ Khaled was on his way to Diddy’s house, when he smashed into a floating tree.

Documenting the ordeal on his Instagram page, Khaled said:

According to TMZ, DJ Khaled gifted his son who recently turned one a $100k (N36,114,720.48) Franck Muller model wristwatch in rose gold with Asahd’s name and birth date engraved on the back. The piece is laced with more than 600 diamonds which weigh in at 11.65 carats and it sells for $100k and above.

The watch converted to naira, cost about 36 million naira, is an adult size watch, which will require Ashad to come of age before wearing it.

According to reports, DJ Khaled dropped a six-figure sum to rent out the Miami nightclub LIV at Fontainebleau for the party. He also had the entire place decorated in epic, jungle-themed décor, inspired by The Lion King.

According to TMZ, the producer whose name is Chris Hill says he produced a beat in March 2008 which appeared on ‘Chris Hill Beats (Gangsta Boogie Vol 2).’

He says he met Khaled in October 2008 at an Atlanta nightclub, and handed him a CD.

Hill says he never heard a peep from Khaled – then lo and behold, eight years later, ‘Keys’ dropped.

In the lawsuit, Hill says he immediately recognized his handiwork.

He also notes just how popular Khaled’s track has become – more than 79 million YouTube views.
