The engagement rumor began on Sunday when the first daughter of Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC, posted a picture of her beautiful engagement ring on her Facebook and Instagram pages without details.

Despite demands by her followers to expatiate on the picture, Debbie as she is popularly called remained silent.

A still picture of herself and Frank Edward also circulated on social media recently, as speculators alleged that the singers are planning to get married.

But Frank Edward took to his social media handles on Thursday to debunk the rumor, asking his followers to disregard the fake news.

He said, “you all should allow that girl to enjoy her peace with all this fake news”.

In an interview with Punch, He said he wanted to make music for people around him. See excerpt:

“I never planned for this; I had no idea it would be like this. Some things would happen to some people and they would say it was dream come true. In my own case, I didn’t even have any dream. I just wanted to make music for people around me to listen to. I just wanted to do what I loved and I was okay if it was just one person that would tell me my music touched his soul. God decided to bless me and take my music all over the world, I am grateful for it.”

Discussing gospel music, Edwards said it’s better one goes into it with the intention to preach the gospel, and not to make money. He said:

“If you are a gospel minister, you have to know you are in a ministry. If you are in it for the money, you may be disappointed. It is not that you will not make money in the long run but that is not the focus, the focus is to preach the gospel of music through your music.

 

When your focus is to first do something that would sell, you would lose focus. If you want to do it for the business, then try secular music. You need to be called to be a gospel artiste because you would have to endure when the money is not coming and you have to wait on the Lord and learn to use your faith. You would even be popular and you would still be climbing bikes.

The news of Don Moen’s purported death flooded the social media early Wednesday morning, with ‘sympathizers’ sending in their messages of condolence.

“Bloggers pls repent naa. DON MOEN IS STRONG AND VERY OK!!! He is not going anytime soon. Haba,” he wrote.

Edwards confirmed that Don Moen is very much alive, saying the news is fake.

News of Don Moen’s death rented the air this morning, following reports by bloggers and news sites that the foreign gospel singer died at the General Acute Care Hospital in California, after a short battle with stomach pain.

Frank Edward took to his Instagram to inform his followers via a post that the singer is alive and well.

He later posted a screenshot of a conversation with the gospel singer’s son Michael, who told him to ignore the news, as his dad is great and in good health.
